Something not working, or a page that looks wrong? Write to us, or send feedback from inside Coursewake.
coursewake@blurxy.netSend feedback from inside Coursewake
- Open the page you want to report, on Brightspace or Schedule Builder.
- Click the Coursewake icon in the Chrome toolbar (it sits behind the puzzle-piece icon until you pin it), then choose Send feedback about this page.
- You see a screenshot of that page. Mark it up (Hide covers anything private) and add a note.
- Check the list of what will be sent, then press Send.
The report carries the extension version and, if you are a beta tester, your tester code, so the developer knows who it is from. Unless you untick the technical details, it also carries details such as the page's address without anything after "?", its title and your browser. The editor lists exactly what is sent before you send.
A person does read the feedback reports you choose to send.
The report is encrypted in your browser to the developer's key before it is sent to our own service. The developer decrypts it and files it in a private GitHub repository, where the developer and their AI coding tools can read it. The issue is deleted after 90 days, though GitHub may keep the uploaded screenshot file.
Delete your data
- Click the Coursewake icon in the Chrome toolbar and choose Settings.
- Use Remove all Coursewake data.
It also erases your encrypted backup on our server once the server confirms. If the server can't be reached, Coursewake keeps your backup key and retries every 30 minutes.
Removing the extension clears its own storage, but not a backup copy, files saved to Downloads, or the few theme and layout preferences stored on the school sites themselves. So erase the backup first.
Find your version
Open chrome://extensions in Chrome and look at the card named Coursewake for CUNY Brightspace. Every feedback report includes the version automatically.
Invites and tester codes
Coursewake is in a private beta. Request an invite by emailing coursewake@blurxy.net. The code comes with your invite, and Coursewake stays off until you enter it.
